The Opportunity 

Our New York in-office RN team works closely with our providers and Virtual Medical Team to make decisions and deliver care to our patients.  

Our New York in-office RNs work collaboratively with one another and with every member of their office-based care team. With continuous access to support from our Virtual Medical Team, we provide accessible, comprehensive, and coordinated care grounded in longitudinal, healing relationships. 

As a Registered Nurse, you’ll report to the RN Manager based off your specific region of New York and play a critical role in delivering high-quality primary care. Your responsibilities center on clinical nursing care, patient education, care coordination, and continuous clinical excellence across the lifespan. In New York, the RN is an essential member of the care team, helping ensure care is delivered safely and effectively in accordance with applicable nursing regulations, scope-of-practice requirements, and clinical guidelines. Our clinics provide broad, comprehensive primary care, and the RN plays a key role in bringing this model to life - supporting patients, partnering closely with providers, and ensuring continuity and coordination across the care journey. 

Employment type: 

• Full time (40 hours/week)  

• Monday – Friday;  

• Patient facing hours: 8:30am – 12pm + 1pm-4:30pm 

What you'll be working on:  

• Ongoing collaboration with both in-office and virtual teammates via office-based and virtual daily huddles.  

• Supporting patients via 1:1 ‘drop-in’ and appointment-based visits, in-person procedure-based care; pediatric and adult vaccinations, medication administration, ear lavage, EKGs, quality-based prevention and screening measures (diabetic retinopathy and provider workload support initiatives), pediatric wellness screenings (point of care lead and hemoglobin), hearing and vision screenings. 

• Integration of Value Based Care delivery model, alongside current fee for service model. 

• Partnering with office-based Medical Directors + PCPs to ensure the nuanced needs of your office’s patients are being met with the proper data backed metrics and improvement upon health outcomes. 

• Driving results for seasonal based initiatives such as Flu/Covid vaccination clinics. 

• Virtual queue-based tasking expectations that support market service level agreements within RN scope of practice; via documentation of historical medical records, direct messaging with patients, form completion, and general chart auditing and clean-up, and beyond.  

Education, licenses, and experiences required for this role: 

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing and 1 year of recent RN experience working with Pediatric through Adult patients in a Primary Care or Urgent Care setting preferred 

• OR Associate Degree in Nursing and 2 years of recent RN experience working with Pediatric through Adult patients in a Primary Care or Urgent Care setting required 

• Comfort with Pediatric/Adult vaccinations, Pediatric Phlebotomy, Vision/Hearing Testing, Ear Lavage, EKGs, Medication Administration + Education, Capillary Sticks, and other testing/procedures that fall into the RN scope of practice 

• Flexibility to work in-office at any of our New York City or Brooklyn offices 

• Flexibility to work as a part of our rotating flu clinic in the fall  

• Current RN license in New York (required) and active BLS certification

This is a 40 hour/full-time role based in our Mamaroneck or Elmsford Office New York City, NY. 

One Medical is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. 

The base hourly range for this role is $49.50 to $52.50 per hour (plus weekend differential) based on a full-time schedule. Final determination of starting pay may vary based on factors such as practice experience and patient care schedule.
